Let’s face it, men: there’s not always a lot of pressure to make sure our skin looks its best.
Subsequently, we ignore it. We don’t read up on it, we don’t learn what’s good for our skin, so when it dries out or gets blotchy, we’re absolutely clueless about what to do.
Well, it’s time to end that habit—with some simple do’s and don’ts that you can apply to your life starting today.
Don’t…rub your face dry. Unless you want wrinkles. Stretching and irritating the skin on your face is a sure way to age it prematurely, especially if you do it every day. Stop rubbing your face dry with a towel and start patting!
Do…use face wash. You know that shower soap you’ve been using on your face? Stop. Start thinking of your face as a special place—special enough to merit its own product. Soap can sometimes be too strong, especially if you have sensitive skin. Find a mild, pleasant face wash you can apply in the shower as part of your routine. But remember to lightly apply the wash after washing your face with warm water.
Don’t…finish with warm water. Warm water is great for opening the pores—cool/cold water will close them back up again. So you can rinse with warm water, but be sure that you finish your skin care session with a healthy dose of cool water to seal out dirt.
Do…get a skin treatment. Treatments like the Venus Freeze are safe, pain-free ways to ensure that your skin stays healthy and young. Give yourself an advantage over the other men and pamper your skin a little—your reflection will thank you.
