Meet the Winner of the First #TheVenusChallenge

As you probably know by now, we’ve partnered with Venus Williams, tennis champion and self care hero, to share the bliss of Venus Bliss™ treatments. To celebrate Venus’s new role as brand ambassador, we’re running a monthly contest to spread the love and encourage women to indulge in some much-deserved self care with the help of a $1,000 gift card. This month, #TheVenusChallenge winner was Kia Raymond. We spoke to Kia about what confidence means to her, and how she plans to spend her self care dollars .

What does confidence mean to you?

Confidence to me means loving everything that makes you who you are but if there is something you want to change you have the strength and courage to do what makes you happy!

What makes you feel confident? Tell us a bit about your entry.

I used to feel really self-conscious about how I look on the outside. Being overweight and having multiple health conditions. My freckles are the one thing no one in my family has so it makes me feel special and I've gained the confidence within myself to change things I wasn't happy with. I've joined a gym, gone back to school and I'm committed to healthy eating habits. I entered the giveaway because being a mother of 4 I've never taken the time to do anything just for me so that's what I'm going to use the $1,000 for. A facial, Mani & Pedi, massage and a list of other things.

Do you think how you look has a direct impact on how you feel?

For me, it definitely does!

How did you find out about the giveaway and why did you enter?

I was looking on Instagram for some inspiration, exercises to do and beauty treatments that I could be interested in all as a part of building back my confidence and no longer feeling bad and miserable. Then the Venus treatment Instagram page popped up on my feed and I started looking at the pictures to see what it was. So when I saw the giveaway it was a huge sign that I've made the right decision to better myself so I took a chance and entered. It spoke to me and what I really needed in life right now. When I found out I won I jump for joy!!

We are hosting another giveaway again this month, what would you like to say to those who are looking to enter?

Have courage and a little faith and go for it! It's time to put you first for a change.

How are you planning to spend your prize?

I’m planning to get a manicure & pedicure, facial, massage, and several personal trainer sessions!*
