The following are the answers to the most commonly asked questions about Venus Legacy™ to help you make an informed decision.
This treatment may be the ideal solution for anyone who has pockets of cellulite and/or excess body fat that they can’t seem to get rid of with diet and exercise alone. Likewise, Venus Legacy™ can help improve the appearance of skin that is starting to lose elasticity and is showing early signs of sagging and wrinkles. For safety reasons, anyone with the following conditions may not be able to get treatments with Venus Legacy™:
Absolutely! Venus Legacy™ uses advanced radio frequency technology to safely and comfortably heat the tissue under the skin’s surface. Radio frequency technology has been proven to be safe and effective for all skin tones, even darker complexions.
Preparing for a Venus Legacy™ treatment is simple. Cleanse the skin before your appointment. Do not apply lotions, creams, or makeup to the area being treated prior to the treatment session. Finally, remember to remove all jewelry around the treatment area.
A single session typically takes between 15 and 30 minutes, meaning it’s quick enough to schedule treatments during a lunch break!
During the treatment, the applicator will slowly get warmer until your skin reaches the needed temperature and stays within that temperature range. If it feels too hot, just let the operator know and they can lower the temperature. If the technician is using the VariPulse™ feature, it will feel like a gentle suction on your skin, like a very low-power vacuum. This can also be lowered if needed—there are four different levels of VariPulse™. Overall, the treatments are comfortable, as the level of heat and suction can easily be adjusted to suit each individual.
Most patients receive six to eight treatments per area. Treatments are usually scheduled a week apart. For a more specific treatment plan based on your individual needs and expectations, consult a certified treatment provider.
Most patients feel relaxed after a Venus Legacy™ session. In fact, the treatment is so comfortable that some patients have even fallen asleep! The treated area may feel warm to the touch post-treatment, but this sensation will subside.
There is no downtime at all. The treatment area may appear a little flushed and feel warm to the touch immediately afterward, but these sensations will disappear within one to two hours post-treatment.
Absolutely nothing! In fact, feel free to apply makeup or lotion immediately after the treatment. You can go back to your regular routine right away.
Venus Legacy™ treatments are cumulative, meaning that you will see improved results with each additional treatment. After the final session in your treatment plan, the results will continue to improve for up to three to four months. Of course, everyone’s skin and body will continue to age as usual, so maintenance is recommended. Your treatment provider will be able to suggest the best plan for maintenance.

Venus Versa™ is cleared by the FDA, licensed by Health Canada, and has CE Mark as a multi-application device intended to be used in aesthetic and cosmetic procedures.
